Since he was an Italian who went to live in Germany, and she was an Austrian who went to live in Italy, maybe there’s an essential similarity behind the differences?

But those have been the rules since the 16th Century and are now protected by heritage legislation. The C of E couldn’t possibly change them now. No, sorry to be cynical but I don’t think God’s will is part of the process.

Welcome to my World! God is in there but sometimes we need patience and lots of understanding. I am still waiting to find out why I commute just under 80 miles per day along the M6 and through the Cathorpe interchange because we have to live in Parish. My daughter is in her 4th school and she is 12.

Still have faith. It is all for God and for good!

From my experience, there are some dioceses that are accommodating and understand the complications of adding two, three or more people onto the deployment. Some are not so aware. The hope is that latter will learn from the former. We just need to be honest about our needs.

So glad to see you posting again. As an ordinand oing into training this september with a spouse who has to ‘follow’ me I have found your thoughts hekpful in understanding what it is like for him.
