about the photo at the top

As I was setting up this blog I wondered what kind of photo to have at the top. This one seemed to encapsulate the journey we’re all on as a VFIT – signposts along the way but unable to see too far in the distance.

It’s actually at the top of Arkengarthdale in Yorkshire taken while I was driving to station 30 miles away for a 6.30 am train.  It’s the other side of the valley to Langthwaite Ford where they filmed the famous “going through the ford” opening title for the BBC series “All Creatures Great and Small.”
